Duy Nguyen, who goes by the artist name H.C, is a 22-year-old from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Currently pursuing Physics and Data Science at Luther College in Iowa, Duy is also actively involved in research in the field of Astrophysics alongside one of his Physics professors. In addition to his academic pursuits, Duy works part-time as a photographer for the Marketing Department of his college during the academic year. Photography started as a hobby for Duy but has turned into a passion that he takes immense pride in.

His entry into the world of art, specifically photography, was more by chance than design. As Duy prepared to study abroad in the US, he found solace in photography as a means to clear his mind and focus on the moment. Initially considering photography merely as a hobby, H.C has managed to carve a niche for himself through his unique vision and perspective on everyday life. The moment he cherishes the most is when he captured his journey to the US, which was also his first time travelling outside his home country. He fondly reminisces about capturing the smallest details like an old flight attendant, a retro landline phone in the hotel, random truck drivers through windows, and the bicycle in front of his quarantine dorm.

He describes his style as 'authentic and natural', emphasizing his love for street and concert photography where he can capture real and unstaged emotions. Like any artist, H.C has had his fair share of challenges. He confessed that losing inspiration was the hardest hurdle. However, he has learned to embrace these moments, understanding that inspiration will return in its own time. His future goals are simple: to gain more experience and capture beautiful moments on his journey.
